Half-Life or Half-Life 2?

Hard one, but I would say Half Life 2 because I feel it has a much more in depth story.

Half-Life 2, mainly because in hindsight, a good amount of Half-Life makes no sense.

I would say half life 2 because of the gravity gun, but the ending of half life 2 is so anti climactic. At least half life had a climactic battle and an ending. Both had bad endings, but half life 2 was worse. I would still say that half life 2 is better though, mainly because of the many diverse stages.

The source engine, the immense game world, and the gravity gun made Half-Life 2 better imo. But let's not forget the game that started it all, right? Like Alyxx said, HL1 gave birth to Freeman's Mind

Half-Life 1,it had that mean old gameplay where the game doesnt want you to survive and deceives you to death,also HL1 was hard as hell if compared to HL2...so HL1 wins for me
