Yay :D ! I'm very happy right now, because I've just passed my linear algebra exam at last!

Just took a little time to write a letter...

Dear Dad,

I hope you get plenty of satisfaction from being able to tell your fifteen year-old son he’s a lying asshole because he didn’t get the grade he’d expected on his Spanish Midterm. I hope your heart flutters and a smile spreads across your face every time you hear about how he cried himself to sleep every night. I hope your eyes brighten at the thought of him carrying out every day not caring if he lives or dies, passes or fails, laughs or weeps. I hope the sight of his blood strewn across the walls of his room, puddled around his head, trickling from his mouth, makes you giddy like a schoolgirl. And most of all, I hope you laugh at his funeral, spit on his face, and dance on his grave. I want these things for you for two reasons: the first because it would be nice to know my passing lifted a burden from someone’s shoulders, the second because it would prove me right. It would make you an awful, soulless man filled with evil and hate.

Love,

Your Son, Zach

Thinking killing yourself will exact some sort of revenge on your father is wishful thinking. Speaking from personal experience of this happening in my family, it leaves deep emotional scars on all of the members of your family. When my cousin killed himself it tore the family apart, my aunt and uncle got divorced and eventually my Aunt killed herself as well.

By commiting suicide you aren't hurting your father, you're hurting everyone around you in a deep and permanent way. I don't know anything about your family but I hope that your father is just bad at parenting, rather than being a bad parent. I sympathize with your emotions, I often went to similar places when I was young and in a horrible situation but I got through it with the help of my father. I know that if you're seriously considering killing yourself it is preventable.

You think the problems you are facing are overwhelming and you can’t see any other way out. But there is a way out, I went through it. I know how you feel because I went through it as well, the first thing you need to find is someone you trust and ask them for help, if the don't respond adequately just ask them again. You need to sort through your feelings with someone you trust, talking to a shrink that is a total stranger is no help when you are feeling like you are, ask your mother, or your friend, or your sibling. Anyone you can trust.

And remember, you are a human being, I know I've had my arguments with you before but I value you. It would hurt me and a lot of other forum members if you ended your life. Reconsider your feelings and try and sort out your family problems, if you want to PM me we could talk about your family problems and how you could try and sort them out. You could also try a depression hotline in your area to make a completely anonymous call to try and get some solutions from there.

Your choice, but remember to find some help you can trust.
