Thanks, it will indeed be a nice day provided I finish it on time. It's looking okay so far, and a lecture has been cancelled tomorrow meaning I now have the entire day to proof-read and refine it ready for submission.

The annoying thing is that while Team Fortress 2 has these beautiful shaders that ensure characters are properly lit at any time, anywhere, Half Life 2 models do not lend themselves like that. So each element that needs focus must be individually lit and masked.
