Reading and trying to figure out the odds of reading an online story make a reference to a scene of a movie that happened to be playing on TV the moment I was reading the story, and I read the scene reference several minutes after it happened on TV.

Remembering that a woman can do whatever she wants with the child she's carrying because it's her choice to bear that burden and also remembering that the adoption system in the US fucking sucks.

But abortion is murder. I'm on the fence with it. My boyfriend has a fatal-condition, if I were to suddenly and unexpectedly fall pregnant with him, then I would abort the child, mainly because I don't want my child to grow up with the same condition, and make him suffer, and make us all suffer for all the financial cost. However, I don't think somebody should abort their child, just because it's a boy. What is this, the 16th century? And also, whilst yes, a woman can do whatever she wants to her body, she has to take into account of other people. Having a child affects the husband and parents. It's like suicide. If you killed yourself, you'd be hurting not just yourself but everyone around. People will miss out on the opportunity of a new baby. But back on topic!

Abortion, like many issues, is not a binary subject. There's no real "good or evil" to it itself, but the individual reasons behind why it was done. I would suggest taking that to the serious discussion as I believe a topic exists about it there already.

 

OT: Drinking juice and back to reading. I'm almost out of books.
