So today, I got drawn into cooking pancakes for my entire senior class. So exhausted right now that it isn't funny. My Stat teacher let me sleep through her class because of how hard I'd been working (she was helping out with the breakfast as well)

I've found that I'm one of those people who is going to make it in a working environment, even if my school wasn't the best of the best. I always find myself to be the guy who keeps working when everyone else stops to rest and diesn't break until everything's done. I seriously almost didn't eat until one of the two hottest girls in school who were helping with this breakfast made me a plate and set it aside so that I wouldn't hand my food away to some asshole coming back for fifths *cough RAVI*

 

But yea, even if I don't work hard for my dad and I'm lazy with schoolwork, I shall still be able to work my way up if I get a "normal" job.

QQing over me losing subscribers. I was at 474 last night (told myself I'd start working on a 500 milestone at 475) and when I woke up today it told me I gained two but lost four. I need to make something that's just awesome enough to get me there but not too awesome that it overshoots it, and I feel like taking a break from my current PMV anyway, and I haven't got homework this weekend yet.

 

inb4 first world problems. It's hard to complain about YouTube problems when I should just be grateful I have enough for it to BE a problem.

I don't even get why you care that much about subscribers. You shouldn't care if people like your stuff or not, just make it anyway and eventually those who like it will subscribe and continue to do so. If someone doesn't like it and doesn't care to tell you why, screw them.

Alyxx, I have a similar thing to Shiny. Once I get the materials to do so, I want to be known. I want my name to be important to a group of people, whether it's other bronies or YouTube gamers or anything like that. I just don't want to be average. But Shiny, it's okay to overshoot your milestone, just make a video for it even if it passes, because you still hit the milestone...

Just saying if you want attention, you have to work for actually getting it and be smart about it. First off, imagine how much crap people are watching. What makes your crap special or more interesting? And, if you can't answer that, how can you make it stand out more? In other words, in order to get attention you have to make something that people would want to actually watch.

What makes your crap special or more interesting? And, if you can't answer that, how can you make it stand out more? In other words, in order to get attention you have to make something that people would want to actually watch.

These are exactly the things I'm doing. I'm trying to figure out what people want, trying to find out what they like, that's why the first thing I do in my descriptions (beside my customary letter) is ask for suggestions. And the fact that I AM working for it makes it so that when people DO subscribe I can actually feel like I earned it, like I'm doing well. I realize subscribers aren't friends, not even close, and that their input usually means ever so little (even though I read every comment), but each of them is a real person who at least liked my stuff once. Asking why I want subscribers is like asking why anyone wants positive feedback.

 

As for this time specifically, it's just bothering me that my subscribers are starting to dip when I'm so close to a milestone, especially one I had already worked out and had all these ideas for (including one that included a sax solo).
