BTGBullseye Posted March 7, 2011 For me the games matter more than the actual hardware specs. I bought a Wii so I could play the new Mario games, the Metroid trilogy and Other M, and use it to play some older Nintendo games on my TV as well. I don't really care if the XBox is more powerful. It doesn't really have any games that interests me. I use my PC for gaming most of the time anyway. Well if that's what you like... Using a Wii is not really gaming IMO. In terms of shere epicness, I don't think any of the new consoles can compete with the Super Nintendo in how classic it has become. I honestly have to agree 100%. Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that. Share this post Link to post
Bjossi Posted March 8, 2011 My first ever games were Solitaire and Minesweeper, on Windows 3.1. This was formerly a machine used in a bank. Later I got some diskettes with maybe 30+ freeware and shareware games, so I can not say with any certainty which one was the first. Among these games was Monster Bash shareware, a game I played countless hours with my dad. We always tried to beat each other's high scores. This PC is still very much functional, I could set it up and take a walk through memory lane. Share this post Link to post

Luis Posted March 8, 2011 I played the DOOM 1 shareware demo endleslly on my uncle's PC when I was like 4 or 5... I didn't even know how the game got there, just played it over and over... like 10 years later while playing Zdaemon I realised there was a full game and a sequel... guess what, i haven't finished them.... Alyxx Thorne Posted March 11, 2011 I've played tons of Jack Jackrabbit 2, especially with my brother. He'd always be Spaz. Game developments at http://nukedprotons.blogspot.com Check out my music at http://technomancer.bandcamp.com Share this post Link to post

Bjossi Posted March 11, 2011 Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is awesome. I made some pretty badass levels with the level editor back in the days, still got them stored on my backup drive in fact. Too bad I don't actually have the game anymore, the disc is gone to some place, screaming for its owner to find it. Share this post Link to post
Eedo Baba Posted March 11, 2011 Either Myst or Lemmings. My family had a Windows 95 computer with those two games. Of course, at four years old, I didn't understand Myst, but I liked to explore the main island. Lemmings I played a lot, but of course at four I also considered the harder difficulties no-mans-land. Jek Jek Roo Posted March 11, 2011 It's very ironic, because one of the first I had on *my* first computer was actually Tomb Raider2 and first Half Life. I was just watching how my Dad's playing these games. I really liked the second one, but I was a bit to small for playing FPS. Jek Jek Roo Posted March 12, 2011 I still remember playing Oddworld, such and enjoyable game. I don't think it is enjoyable when you can't beat most of Scrabania Levels. There ware hard sometimes "Even if something sounds logical, it doesn't mean it have to be true" Share this post Link to post
