I personally use the Ghostery browser... Seems to work just fine for me. (then again, I'm also on an x86 version of Android instead of ARM, because my phone is awesome and has an Intel Atom processor)

Just because I was interested in looking for something more recently updated, I found a phpBB theme that is a fairly close match to our current "twilightBB" style, but a bit more condensed. (no 1 inch wide borders on the sides of my screen with it)

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/style/hermes/demo/3.0

Just colorize it to match the current forum...

Might I also suggest other updates to the forum extension list, like these:

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/topicpreview/

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/items_per_page/

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/individual_posts_per_page/

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/breadcrumb_menu/

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/lightbox/ (this would be a huge boon for those of us running under 1080p screens, or under 8k in some cases)

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/avatar_in_last_post/ (since we all seem to recognize each other based on our avatars instead of names)

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/fixed_footer_navbar/

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/navbar_search/

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/remove_subject_from_replies/

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/quoted_image_as_thumbnail/

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/phpbb_3.1_national_flags/

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/postsmerging/

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/nested_color_parser/

Just a thought... Not trying to force anything.

BTW, can you add a 'mark all post as read' button? It's so I wouldn't be kept notified of new posts on threads I am not interested in.

Oh wow. I would have never found that if never notified. Many thanks.

No problem. ^_^ Happy to help!

And pro-tip, there's also a "Mark forums read" specifically for the forum game section as well. So if BTG has come along and absolutely hammered it with new posts and you're not bothered to go through all that snot, you can clear just that part. :D

On the PC, the forum runs flawlessly, but is quite difficult to use on my mobile. Whenever I'm on here, there is a grey banner stating how they (Ross?) have to inform me about my consenting to cookies or something. This banner occupies a large portion of the screen, and clicking the " I understand" checkbox is supposed to make it go away. Tapping on it reloads the page, but the banner re-appears seconds later. As well, I am logged out every time I move around between topics. Are these known problems? How can I solve them?

I see everything.

Your mobile browser isn't storing the cookies, that's where your problem lies. If it did, it would remember that you had already clicked that banner.

Indeed. Sounds like it's not so much a problem with the forums as it is with Scampi's mobile browser. Try messing around with some settings and see if you have cookies disabled.

As in stuff posted with the "youtube" tag? It seems to be working for me.

Feel free to PM me about almost anything and I'll do my best to answer. :)

Is the IRC still a thing? It doesn't seem to be working for me.

IRC is still very much alive in some communities (open source community and some gaming communities use it very actively), Accursed Farms IRC channel however seems to be quite dead every time I visit it.

AFAIK Ross is planning to redesign some aspects of website, right?

One of things that I would like o see is javascript / HML5 web client for IRC instead of current Flash-based one.

I'm looking for forum settings like I'm used to seeing in other forums, things like posts per page, skin options, and in particular the setting for "Don't Show Signatures in threads".  I see that there are limits in place for signatures and I read that you can ignore a user's signature, but I prefer to turn them off entirely.

Ah!  I just noticed that when you click the "x" to ignore a user's signature, there's an option to "Hide All Signatures".

I thought it was strange that the "x" mouseover text read "Ignore Signature Preferences", but I haven't been able to FIND said "Signature Preferences".

Clarification and New Information (see edit history)

Do you not want to see signatures in threads anymore?  Check under Account Settings - Signature and turn off "View Signatures".  You can also click the X to the right of this signature and select "Hide All Signatures".  You're welcome!

Edit 2:

And now I found it - under "Account Settings - Signature", which I assumed was only for setting up my OWN signature, there's a slider for showing other people's signatures.

This is why signatures are now allowed again.

1. They are restricted.

2. You can ignore people.

I remember that signatures were once a problem, but this should solve it.
