A good laptop cooling pad

So I just got a new laptop and I want to get my hands on a good laptop cooling pad.

The thing is, I would prefer one that isnt USB powered. Instead, Id like one that uses an electric cable and is made for 15,6" or 16". The sound level doesnt really matter (of course I dont want it to sound like a fighter jet). I need it for gaming.

Edit: Im using a Dell xps 15.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I was using an Antec cooling pad for my old HP when I was using laptops, found here: http://www.antec.com/product.php?id=72&pid=22 This one draws power from a USB port on your laptop, however the cable also provides a passthru port so you don't actually lose a port when using the pad.

However, Antec has since, by the looks of it, added more solutions. I like the looks of the Notebook Cooling Stand, found here http://www.antec.com/product.php?id=2488&pid=22

I have a Cooler Master U3 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Cooler+Master+-+NotePal+U3+Laptop+Cooling+Stand/2193357.p?id=1218313907686&skuId=2193357, I like it, but it's USB powered.... It's worth considering though.

Thanks man, I shall look for that one around. Couldnt find it online anywhere here though. 3 fans is really good.

Does it drain alot of power from the pc ?

Not from what I can tell, it allows a pass through of the USB plug and is pretty quite, I don't notice much of a power drain.

I have tried a few different ones. The one I have no I bought from tigerdirect. It is from a company called Antec. It has a metal grate, two fans, 2 speeds, and a pass through usb so you can plug in another device as well. It is very strong, and quiet. The only problem is that it comes with rubber "feet" that stick in holes to lift the laptop up slightly. However, with both of my pads, they kept falling out. So I removed them. My laptop has little feet anyway so it is elevated a tad. If I want, I will glue the other ones back on the pad.

You may want to get one that has a built in stand. I have a separate one already, so I didn't need it. I read recently about a cooling pad/stand that is supposed to be good. It is called Cradia Minifit CRF-104 XL Laptop Stand/Cooler.

I actually suggest this laptop cooler...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834981029

I'm using one now, and amazingly it's beating out the Thermaltake Massive23 LX that I had prior.

I also got one of these for a friend: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834988073 He has absolutely no complaints, and it has dropped the temps in his laptop by at least 8c. (mine does 9-10c)

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

Now THAT is the kind of laptop cooler Im looking for. My vents are really weird placed. Not many coolers fit for them. I will see if they have this one in any local store. Thanks for showing me that!
