I'd post a screengrab of my desktop, but it is very cluttered and there are too many random files and All of my Steam games icons are broken.

 

But here is the background I've got. I think its clever, pretty, a nice, solid color, and conveys so much emotion:

Not really, but I run at 1920x1080 resolution.

Well, my monitor is only 1440x900, so I guess yours just seems big. Or maybe your icons are smaller. I have no clue.

Might be that, I use small icons. I feel like larger icons make the desktop feel cluttered.

Which is why I keep my desktop empty. I actually find myself using the search feature on the start menu the most if I do want to open something. And for games I usually use Steam anyway so no real reason to put a bunch of icons on my desktop.
