Hey, just bought Gmod. Anybody feel like giving me a little tutorial some time. Because there's a LOT of shit. Or is it better for me to just learn as I go?

Life is just a time trial; it's all about how many happy points you can earn in a set period of time

But they kinda suck and they aren't and I learn best with another person actually walking me through it. Or I just learn it by myself and gain self-confidence.

Garry's Mod has a lot of scope for complexity, infinite scope if you count the addons. However it can also be really simple and easy to use, it depends on what you want to do with it. My best advice is to start simple and work from there. It can be fairly fun to play it with friends too.

If you can host a server or know a private server / or we could just find an empty server, I don't mind showing you how to use some of the basic tools that you'll frequently use, etc. I could also run you through the process of installing addons, but the addon system is getting workshop integration with Garry's Mod 13 so I shouldn't worry about that for now. I can talk about different addons and what they can do to the game though, etc.

Feel free to PM me about almost anything and I'll do my best to answer. :)
