danielsangeo Posted June 16, 2012 I hardly if ever swear in real life. If I do, it's for extreme emphasis and I'm uncomfortable whenever I do it. But my father swears like a sailor. ProHypster Posted September 10, 2012 I swear in every day conversation with friends sometimes every two sentences with different words every time, sometimes bizzare and rare swear words, I try not to use the same word as it loses it's strength, it's all done for humour as is appropriate in the russian language. I don't use any worse swear then dumbass when SPEAKING in ukrainian at all (When speaking russian I can use ukrainian swear words), it's not funny and sounds lame when used in a ukrainian sentence. Swearing is also common among adults, and sometimes you have those days when you hear swearing outside from drunk minor couples or from shoppers being frustrated with sellers *those days, Sigh*. Technically I speak five types of conversations in every day life depending on situation: 1: Usual stranger, Family: Just like how I type here but in Russian. 2. Slight Trolling, making fun: Speaking with high complicated old Russian words and maybe complicated Ukrainian words similar to "Thy" "Thee" etc. 3. Extreme funny Trolling: No serious swears and few as you don't need any it already sounds funny, Ukrainian language because after speaking russian and suddenly swithing, it sounds so completely not serious and instantly sounds like major trolling. Usually you die of laughter when someone uses the correct word combination. 4. Casual Friends Talk: The more company the more swearing, almost always russian except one guy I know who insists ukrainian cause of his ideology. In Ukrainian I don't swear at all. 5. Philosophical talk, drunk talk: No swearing at all or few swearing, Russian almost always unless it's some kind of special situation. Blightmare Posted September 10, 2012 unfortunately I do and it's a habit I'm trying to break. I have to literally stop myself mid sentence to not swear half the time and that's when I catch myself. if not, it always seems to work it's way in. Retired Forum Moderator Share this post Link to post

Swearing is part of a vocabulary, you just have to know when to use it and what words. Saying fuck all the time is unoriginal and each time the word loses more and more meaning.. Instead try: Crap, Shit, Shite, Bloody Hell, Crikey, Balls...etc "When a son is born, the father will go up to the newborn baby, sword in hand; throwing it down, he says, "I shall not leave you with any property: You have only what you can provide with this weapon." Blightmare Posted September 10, 2012 well in my case I tend to use it when it just doesn't need to be used and I fear I'm making others uncomfortable. It's at the point where it's pretty much become an emphasis for things even if they don't need emphasizing. Retired Forum Moderator Share this post Link to post

DeWolfeJV Posted September 11, 2012 I try to limit my swearing, sometimes I get a bit carried away (if I am in a foul mood), other times I'm pretty good. Ian Posted September 24, 2012 Right, I only swear a lot around close friends or when something startles me in a game. Otherwise, I excuse myself when I swear. Share this post Link to post
Collective Foal Posted October 2, 2012 Being 16, I swear quite often. I don't as often as I used to, but I know it's still excessive. Honestly, they're just words and they express sentiments properly. I don't get why people care so much. But yea, I know when I need to be professional and formal and not use "foul language" but I prefer to speak freely the way my mouth wants to speak. Chuckthe2nd Posted October 3, 2012 I never fucking swear, god damn. Why the hell would I? In actuality though, even though I swear online, I NEVER swear out loud. I don't really know why; it might be that I just subconsciously feel that I shouldn't say words that could potentially offend those around me. :/ Plus, you'll typically get a little more genuine respect from people if you talk like a sir while everyone else is cussing like a sailor. http://steamcommunity.com/id/chuckthe2nd We'll bang, okay?
