I am really looking forward to this. Mostly because this is coming from Valve but also because I loved the prequel. Usually I am more than happy with any Valve game.

I concur. I also heard that Valve is going to disclose the 3 'big surprise' where everyone is going crazy about this year. Most probably Half-Life 2: Episode 3 will be one of them.

Im not great with computer specs,but if i could run portal 1 on full settings, can i run portal 2 on full settings then? Or is the engine so changed that i can't run it?

I suppose they have updated the engine a lot so I wouldn't count on it.

Source engine games are really low-spec friendly, you can expect a difference in perfomance like for example if you ran HL 2 with a 6800GT at full settings maybe you'll have to turn filters a bit down in EP 2 to get a smooth framerate... But you're for certain gonna be able to play it in decent settings (High, x4 AF , x2MSAA, maybe VSYNC.)...

 

I was kinda nervous about thia when it got announced because i thought ot was gonna be a DX11 gane with an upgraded version of the source engine and my video card is not that bad (ATI HD 5770) but i'm stuck with a Core 2 Duo and source games are pretty CPU intensive.

I hope at the very least they made the sewage look better. <3 Portal, and already preordered the second. I hope I get the chance to kill Glados again, and listen to another of Jonathan Coulton's great pieces (I swear, he is the Beethoven of gaming)
