Black Mesa Source

Recommended Posts

I haven't heard from Black Mesa in two years now to be honest.

Sometimes you have to dig for news, not vice versa. Their website is still being updated with new media once in a while, and recently they announced the completion of the sound track. If you get the idea to register on their forum and be the thousandth newcomer to ask if the mod is dead or not, I'd advice against doing it.

Black Mesa is still being worked on and if you research the forums, you'll find the news you seek. And the Wiki is updated pretty regularly with new news or media.

For all the doubters, check the developers' Steam Community accounts and see how long they've worked in the Source SDK this week.

Playing devil's advocate: They could just be starting up the SDK, minimize it, then go do other stuff for that entire time...

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

Yeah, I don't see a reason why they would do something like that.

Neither do I, unless they're pulling the longest troll in history...

As others have said, the Black Mesa wiki and forum are excellent sources of information.

Feel free to PM me about almost anything and I'll do my best to answer. :)

Is it just me, or does the Neurotoxin Generator in Portal 2 remind oneself a lot of Blastpit? What with the big cylindrical thing in the middle of a gigantic chasm.

This is a nice metric server. No imperial dimensions, please.

Blast Pit is significantly larger. I didn't really see any resemblance when I played it.

Neither did I, the only thing that reminded me of black mesa was that giant blast door ready to take a missile that had behind it a tiny tiny normal door... Lol. I wonder what the engineers where thinking "yeah lets put a tiny door behind the 60mts one just to spend the extra 10 million dollars"

Sorry for the bump, but the Black Mesa site seems to be down. This can only mean one thing...

...your browser is outdated, we know.

I'm actually not excited for it anymore. In the end, it'll be fairly mediocre compared to quality games coming out right now.

You are SOOOO wrong it's not even funny. Just take a look at their media and tell me you still think the same.

Cylindrical thing in the middle of a giant-ass room with glowing green far below it, suspended by pipes and cables.

Are you talking about that one room at the end of the 2nd Star Wars movie?

I HAVE to blow everything up! It's the only way to prove I'm not CRAZY!

I'm sorry, but after 6+ years at it, it's starting to smell like another Duke Nukem. Who's to say those screens weren't made ages ago, and just posted now?
