I know Freeman's Mind takes Ross a long time to make. But think about it, it couldn't take as long as it takes to make Civil Protection, because he needs to animate AND record which takes FOREVER...

But I really want him to continue Freeman's Mind on through Half-Life 1 and into Half-Life 2, and I know everyone else does too! I think it would be cool (if he did continue the series) to see his reactions to things like: The Combine invasion of Earth, Alyx Vance, new enemies, Ravenholm etc,

So if you think he should continue just say "Yes", just say anything! Maybe if enough people vote Ross Scott will read this, I hope he reads this because maybe he will consider it.

I made a thread LIKE this a while back but it wasn't a poll so I guess this is different?

Anyway, I would love Ross to continue to HL2 as, apparently he was gonna start in HL2 anyway. Plus I got started in the HL universe with HL2 and it'd be great to hear his reactions to things. Just my opinion, though.

I hope so, I'd love to see his reaction to Breen, given what he has been saying about wanting to take over Black Mesa earlier in series.

It feels kind of pointless to discuss this considering his statement on this matter is already in the FAQ. I see the point in his decision as well, why promise years worth of work into Freeman's Mind for HL2 if interest is weak by the time he finishes HL1?

Yeah, he should give it a shot. But maybe, just maybe he'll have to adapt somehow, change his style to match the way more serious HL 2 environment.

I'm not casting a vote because it's not so much that he should do it, but just that we all want him to. :P

it is upto ross but i think he would still do it if there was still an intrest in FM. plus hl2 is a much longer game so who knows if hes up for it?

I don't see why not. HL2 is ripe with opportunities for another Freeman's Mind. Of course it's up to Ross in the end if he wants to or wants to focus on other projects that are closer to his original intentions, which is animation, but I'd personally love to see a FM2.

I believe he originally wanted to start with HL2, but didn't want to begin with a sequel. I think he also said he'd continue into HL2 IF he had enough interest in it by then.

I have the perfect comeback. A Spaz-12.

I can't wait to see what his reaction to breen is either.

I imagine his reaction to finding out that breen is pretty much the high human ruler of the earth.

"Wait, Breen's the big man? What? That's crazy! I bet he got to rule earth just because he so was high up the corperate ladder, pulled a few strings, and bam. King of the world. So much for the meek inheirting the earth. ...Okay, I'm not meek, but I deserve it anyway."

Imagining that line coming out of Ross' mouth made me splutter coffee all over my keyboard.

I'd love to see FM2, I think it'd be a lot easier to make too, it just has so many more characters to interact with, Alyx, Barney, the combine, breen, scary ass zombies, rebels (during follow freeman) who will literally run onto a mine if told to.

Yeah, more opportunities for comebacks basically. Half-Life 1 tends to be more of a lone run'n'gun experience with the occasional boss or puzzle.

...Yeah that's what I'm trying to say. I think more of this audience DOES want him to continue, except there are some people who don't really care if he continues or not. Bot I, on the other hand, am a huge fan!

The first time I watched FM I was like, "Is this all he does? Just narrate everything?" but as I watched it more I started to like his sarcastic humor and his funny reactions, so now it's my favorite series!

It grew on me quickly as well. It's a very simple concept but it works well the way he does it.

I dunno...

I'm not throwing my vote to the "no" section, but the time it takes to travel through levels in Half-Life 2 is kinda long. It's going to take a great deal of dialog to fill everything in. The Black Mesa facility in HL1 has it's quirks that are easy to make fun of, but HL2 most of everything makes sense, despite the futuristic settings. I'd be concerned that the series will run dry.

Even though I'd love to see it, I've always had my doubts in it happening. FM2 really is a "we'll have to wait and see" kind of thing.
