Just wanted to see if other people were aware of and did this.

Life is just a time trial; it's all about how many happy points you can earn in a set period of time

I won't be making a wish, I'll be taking part in the minute of silence for Rememberance Day. (9am in Vancouver, 11th hour has yet to pass)

This is a nice metric server. No imperial dimensions, please.

Okay, then. Here, Veterans Day is a day-long event. I haven't heard of a minute of silence for us. And I pretty much forgot about time zones, there. :)

I don't even know. Maybe I should drink a beer that I'm alive on this special date as I do with my friend all the time on every date that is either predicted to be apocalypse or just weird.

I made no wish, I thought about fallen soldiers. It's supposed to be a moment of remembrance, for those who gave their lives so that we might live.

Feel free to PM me about almost anything and I'll do my best to answer. :)

Well... we only celebrate/remember victory day in Ukraine, which is May 9. World War one was such a fucked up war for us.... we should have beaten the crap out of austria-hungary and germany if we continued the war but due to our idiot Czar we were busy with internal problems and allowed Poland to take some of our territory too. The result was millions of dead soldiers who fought for nothing. I hope Serbia is fucking happy.

That came off as though you were upset with me. I still have total respect for those who serve our nation (I plan on doing so myself), but I can still do something silly and superstitious as a result of the date and the cultural superstition to it. You can still be serious on a strange day and act strange on a serious day.

Well today is my birthday. I don't really care about any wishes when I'll probably be getting Skyrim gifted to me.

I'd be dead already anyway. And btw, nobody knows if it was 11:11 pm or am.

I thought North america was the only continent using this PM/AM System.....

I do think it seems a little disrespectful for this particular event to think of one's self rather than to think of soldiers who have died, however the culture surrounding this event probably differs from country to country.
