Here are the consoles I've got currently, ranged from newest to oldest:

TV Consoles:

* Nintendo Wii (the black Motion Plus edition that came with WiiSport Resort)

* Nintendo 64 (blue translucent edition, bought it at a flea market)

* Sony PlayStation (the old grey model, I traded it for a copy of StarCraft with a friend)

* Super Nintendo (classic console, though I'm only borrowing it at the moment as it belongs to my mom, I might get my own console eventually)

* Nintendo 8bit (the classic VHS-style NES, got it for free because it had a broken connector, I fixed it though and now it works like a charm)

Handhelds:

* GameBoy (the classic monochrome one, I have two of them and even a link cable)

* GameBoy Colour (pink coloured)

* Nintendo DS

I'll list mine as well I guess

-PS3

-Nintendo Wii

-PS2

Hate to jump on a bandwagon but the Wii is literally the worst console I have ever owned, especially since I'm not very partial to Zelda or any of the new Mario games.

Mind that these are the ones I have currently, not the ones I have had previously.

DO NOT install Halo 3 to your hard drive--it will make it slower; even Bungie says it will. Halo: Reach, you can install.

I own a Wii, PS3, and an Xbox; my Xbox is my favorite console. I think it has the best library of games. My second favorite is the Wii, since the Wii store allowed me to try games that I missed out on as a kid such as Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

I don't care for the PS3 that much. At first, I was excited that my mom was getting one since that meant I could play Metal Gear Solid 4.

Long story short, Metal Gear Solid 4 takes the prize for the most fucked up game I've ever played. Oddly enough, Majora's Mask is a close second...but Majora's Mask was actually good.

Consoles at my house:

-Wii (I tried hard to support it, but just not enough releases that appeal to me. Except Zelda games and Wi sports)

-Xbox 360 (No Live at the moment, just not enough money.)

-PS2 (Still a good console, and occasionally buy games for it. Plenty of hidden gems out there for PS2.)

-Game cube (Collects dust, its not needed since I got a wii.)

-N64 (Amazing.)

Handhelds:

-Nintendo DS (the earliest one released/the gray one.)

-Gameboy Advance (I got a magnifying attachment and a light attachment so I can play in the dark lol.)

-Gameboy Color

-Gameboy (the original)

Consoles that belong to my family, but are no longer at my house (may be at relatives house.):

-Xbox (we bought it late in its lifetime when the seventh generation of consoles was out.)

-Sega Genesis (My favorite console.)

-Atari 2600 (At my grandpas house, played it like once.)

Deceased Consoles:

-Nintendo (the original)

I could probably fix that original Nintendo if it was a simple broken connector. That was often the bane for the old NES since the connector wore out easily.

We threw it away after it broke, and sold the games. :(

Wow, my gaming habits seemed dwarfed now that I've seen all these console collections O.O!

Grew up with a couple siblings though so that helped increase it. When we were younger we'd put our money together for a system. AND my dad occasionally plays video games. He played the God of War 1 and 2, and he played some shooter games.

I've sold all my old consoles and their games so I could get the newest consoles and their games. Only reason I still have a PS2 is because of my sister.

Thank god for emulators, lol

I was all happy about my emulator then I found out PS3 supports ps1. I was both happy and annoyed that day.

as for emulating anything else, well, I have yet to get around to that.

I can't express how grateful I am to have an original PS3 that can play the PS2 games, too. Although, it probably wouldn't have been so bad to keep the PS2 strictly for PS2 games... *shrug*

I've really only seen potential in consoles for racing games as you can play with someone else without any button delay as sometimes happens on computers for a cheap price.

But even for that you can just buy a controller for PC....

I've played a lot of games on PC emulated though like Sonic the hedgehog, I believe that never came out on PC did it?

"When a son is born, the father will go up to the newborn baby, sword in hand; throwing it down, he says, "I shall not leave you with any property: You have only what you can provide with this weapon."

Here are Sonic games released on PC officially by Sega:

Sonic CD: http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/sonic-cd

Sonic & Knuckles Collection: http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/sonic-knuckles-collection

Sonic R: http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/sonic-r

SOnic Mega Collection, which includes all classic Sonic titles: http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/sonic-mega-collection-plus

I believe most of them are emulated though, so it's basically like buying an emulator legally. But, it's on PC and official products so it counts.

Oh, and you can now buy all Sonic games emulated on Steam, and even Sonic Generations has a PC port.
