"Alright we're here to defend the Valiant, so pilot!" said the cloaked figure.

"Name's Wash, captain!" Said the man named Wash, who was the ship's pilot.

"I don't care, just bring us closer to the Valiant, and tell the others to get the torpedoes ready."

Just then Wash turned on the intercom and spoke to the rest of the crew "Alright, we're under attack so brace yourselves and get those torpedoes ready!"

You should describe in your post weapons firing, manouvers or those sorts of details.

If you only describe what your PC says to your crew, I'm not going to describe for you how your crew reacts to your commands.

Also, I'm not going to be making a Combat Result post in response to every single combat action post. I'll post one in response to a few actions every once and a while.

The Xielumbus flight maneuvered itself inbetween the Janzars and the Valiant, hovering in a slow strafe to one side, firing on the five corvettes as they closed in on the carrier Frigate. The Laser fire shredded into the paneling of the front of one of the heavy corvettes, pecking away at its armor. Another one was slammed by one of the shells from the heavy cannon, deflecting off and detonating late, making a massive explosive burst just off to one side away. As a result the other corvette began swerving downwards in a tightening spiral pattern, trailing a thick gray smoke and small bits of debris.

"Wow, things are heating up already," said Destiny. "And they're not here for us, what a surprise."

"Great, the Valiant has it's share of enemies, too," muttered Scorch. He looked up to the monitors. "Destiny, prepare to take evasive action. Sydney, get below deck and take charge of munitions monitoring and maintenance. If something goes wrong down there--"

"I know, Captain... you want to hear it from me, not the computers" said Sydney in a even tone before leaving the bridge.

"Claud, man the targeting system. Let's try to stick to using torpedos, as I'd rather not waste our bombs."

"But, Captain, I'm almost done with that code," said Claud.

"That can wait. If the enemy shoots down the Valiant, then that code is useless," growled Scorch. "I won't repeat myself. Get on the targeting system."

Claud looked at Scorch and sighed, moving from one console to another. "Yes, Captain. It looks like our enemy is equipped with stealth devices."

"As I thought," said Scorch. "Can the auto-targetting sensors get passed their devices should they reengage?"

"No, there are too many shadows," said Claud. "I'll have to target them manually."

"Gee, like he said you would," chimed Destiny.

"Shut up, twit," said Claud. "There are two enemy ships in range."

Scorch looked at the screen. The two ships had a small amount of distance between them, flying in a formation. "Good, they'll make easy targets. Destiny, get us between those ships. Claud, get a lock on and fire two torpedos on my command." Scorch turned to a console. "Sydney, on my command I want you to drop a bomb behind us. Understood?"

All of his crew answered at once: "Yes, Captain!"

The Glain-Neidr shot forward in a full rush and passed between the ships. As she approached the ships, the Glain-Neidr fired two torpedos at each ship. They exploded, whether or not they hit the ships, just before the Glain-Neidr passed through the explosion. When the fire cleared, a large bomb with a purple jewel on its head was all that was left between the two ships. It exploded, creating a glowing cloud of purple crystals. The Glain-Neidr was currently turning around on its nose, preparing for a follow-up attack.

"Did we get them?" asked Destiny in the cockpit.

The uncloaking of the vessels and it quickly being evident that they were hostile, the bridge of the Shadow Spear was at battlestations, with the captain at the center of it all, muttering under his breath..."Damn, we've barely left the dock and already people seem to be after the old Professor..."*to the bridge crew*"Alright, we're not cloaking our way out of this one, whilst we're visible we're a target other than the Valiant, not that it seems to be making much of a difference, they're bearing down on them. Target the corvette nearest to the Valiant and as soon as you have weapons lock, open fire. Lets melt them to slag."

A chorus of "Aye Sir"'s echo'd around the bridge. Moments later the Shadow Spear opened fire with its heavy cannon on the corvette nearest the Valiant.

"Eustace had to go and do something stupid. Marsinta is going to kill me..." said Roam as the gunnery crews set themselves out on their task to defend the Valiant.

The two mediumish heavy cannons berth at the top and underside of the frigate swiveled to face the Corvettes, firing off a salvo of their enormous shells towards the flight.

The deft motion of the Glain Nedir smashed through the flight of the Janzars, obliterating one of the Corvettes and disabling two of the other nearby craft, dazing their electronics with the energy-sapping bombs. The enormous rounds of the Shadow Spear shredded through the armor with a violent explosion of another one of the Corvettes, making it look like it had been hit by an asteroid of equal size, leaving it a smoldering hulk flying off in a strange direction. The large shells of the Valiant failed to make true and sped off away from the flight, dissolving in a puff of aborted charge some great distance beyond the battle.

One of the Corvettes, the pilot obviously noticing he was fighting a losing battle, began to flee back towards Carina Station in a sort of wobbly flight path, either being an experienced dodge pattern, or a very nervous man jiggling the control stick while frantically looking backwards.

The Captain surveyed the destroyed wreckage of the corvette they'd attacked. "Good shooting men. Doesn't look like the other ships in the group are doing so bad either."

One of the bridge officers announced "Sir, one of the Corvettes is pulling away!"

"Let it go, keep covering the Valiant, target that Corvette approaching her with maximum firepower, I don't want it to get too close to the Professor."

"Aye Sir!"

*The Shadow Spear manoeuvres in to position, targets and opens fire on the Corvette approaching the Valiant*

Tharebas just arrived at the scene to see the ongoing dogfight. He saw that the Shadow spear taking care of the aprroaching corvette, so he targeted the fleeing one and started chasing it at full speed.

He opened the comlink.

"Neither of us has hit that Vessel, your ship- i doubt it can take on a Corvette by itself. pack it in Therabas. besides, i'm sure it hit it's stealth node a while ago."

Yilne switched off the the channel. He starts speaking in the intercom.

"Belay the combat Alert. Bring the Xielumbus flight back into formation."

The Sergeant flips off a few switches- deactivating the weapons, then he switches off the Targeting Buffer, and finally removes the visor rig.

MIPAI orders Yilne's wingmen back into their formation around Yilne's ship. The other ships go on weapons safe and obey the order.

Yilne sat back in his captain's chair surveying the wreckage they had caused. "MIPAI, i want these events as of late entered into my log." MIPAI chirped and entered the the challenge from the Janzar, combat kills, the formations ordered, and reported that no damage has been taken by the Janzar or it's supporting ships. "Great kills men." Yilne said speaking to the other Captains. "However, i'm forced to point out that this was just the easy part." He switched off the comm between the other Captains. "Helmsman, i want a generous distance from the Valiant. Sergeant, stay ready, i want you battle ready at a moments notice."

"as you command, Yilne." The Helmsman and the Sergeant said in unison as the Helmsman brought the Xielumbus to a fair distance parallel to the Valiant. The Sergeant just sat in his chair keeping the targeting buffer looking for possible hostile targets- in case one suddenly comes into range.

Tharebas retreated back to the Valiant, his deranged mind blinded his judgement once again. The sheer thought of him being helpless and unable to change the course of events around him reignited his insanity. When he reached the Valiant he began performing a defensive patrol around the ship, in case his assistance would be needed.

Immediately after it's first pass through the enemy ships, the Glain-Neidr made a 180 turn on its nose to prepare for a follow-up attack.

"Did we get them?" asked Destiny.

"Sir, direct hits," said Claud. "It looks like one of them is retreating and another is approaching the Valiant. We destroyed one of the corvettes and maimed another one, by the looks of its lacking flight pattern."

"Pathetic," said Scorch. "Destiny, dive back toward that surviving corvette. Claud, prepare for another round of torpedos. This time, we'll fire at them after we've passed them. I don't want to leave anything standing, is that understood?"

"Yes, Captain," said Destiny and Claud.

The Glain-Neidr raced through space and passed by the two enemy corvette a second time. Torpedos launched from her bays and raced to make a second impact on the Janzar.

"Claud, can you get a lock on the retreating Janzar?" asked Scorch.

"I can, but it's moving back to the station," said Claud.

"Coward," said Scorch. If they fired on that ship now, it might attract even more unwanted attention. "Fine, leave it and get into a distanced formation around the Valiant. I have a feeling we'll see that ship again soon, anyway." He turned to his console and radioed below deck. "Sydney, I expect a full inventory report when you come back to the bridge."

"I'll be up in a moment, Captain. I need to run a final check on our weapon systems before I come back," said Sydney.

"Very well, then."

"Captain, there's still another ship approaching the Valiant," said Claud. "Should we take it down?"

"No, let the other escort ships waste their ammo. At this point, we needn't get anymore involved," Scorch said calmly.

"I already hate being an escort," huffed Destiny. "Four ships down, and we can't even raid one of them for goodies."

"It wouldn't have been worth our time, anyway," Scorch said, tapping his chair with his organic hand. "I assure you, Destiny... the bounty that awaits us at the end of this journey is one unlike that any ship could hope to carry."

Destiny's skeleton started glowing in excitement. "Yes, Captain! Heading back to rendezvous with the Valiant now."

Scorch averted his attention to a now-inactive Claud. "Claud, you may return to your original post and continue work on that data. I trust it won't take you long?"

"No, Captain, not long at all." Claud returned to his original console. "It doesn't look like our ship received any messages from the other ships in the escort."

"Interesting, but I'm not concerned. I'll be more interested in seeing the--"

The main door to the bridge opened and Sydney placed a disk on Scorch's main console. "The battle data, Captain. It looks like only a few ships in the escort got involved, including our own."

Scorch grunted. "Great, dead weights, as I thought. Ah well... I suppose we could always use a few more decoys."

The Glain-Neidr moved to a position somewhat distant from the Valiant and awaited for further orders.

Srake surveyed the battle before him. "Well damn, not much left to do at this point. Is there anything left to do Jade." Jade read out form her console, "It seems the... Glain Neidr? just made a pass at the 2nd Corv. We should coordinate efforts to ensure victory."

Srake steered towards the 2nd corvette for a strafing run, "Right, Fire the Flak Cannons. Terren, Fire at will."

As the Tenrar flew past the 2nd Corvette, it fired its Flak array and opened fire with it's turrets. As it passed it looped around and head back to the Valiant.

"Jade, report."

OOG:Well I finally got the internet back, excuse me people. Will try to keep up now.

Garret and Kief were admiring the battle from behind the Valiant, covering it in case someone decided to stab it's back. There isn't much we can do now Kief, let's try to help the others, try to take the fleeing ship down. Hope the guy in the black ship doesn't mind your help. I'll finish the 3rd ship, seems to have already taken serious damage

Kief approaches The abandoned one and opens fire towards the flying ship with the laser cannons.I hope you don't mind if I help you a little, said Kief though the com-link.Garret prepares a charged laser shot and fires it at the 3rd corvette. The pilot seems to have lost control of the ship or is unconscious.

In an astounding flurry of flak, torpedoes, shells and lasers, the other two corvettes shattered into space dust and expanding gasses.

The Valiant fired a few rounds off towards the fifth Corvette, both shots missing as it bobbed and turned, finally going from an erratic nervous flight path to an intentional serpentine to avoid being hit, knowing it was already out of range for most weapons.

"Cease firing on that little runaway." said Roam to the weapon control. He sighed. "Looks like my past lives once again, to haunt me some time in the future. Open the Main Comm Channel.

""

Roam stood up from his chair, beckoning the Professor with a glance, turned and walked out of the Bridge, saying

"Darril, you have the wheel. Prepare the Interstellar Drive and main docks for the strike craft for reception."

Argyle never much cared for Richard's abrupt manner of speaking, but somehow the charisma of his person silenced those complaints. They walked down one of the well lit corridors towards the briefing room. They entered though the door, revealing a relatively spacious chamber with a long table in the middle, a set of chairs around it and a dome-shaped projector in the middle of the ceiling. The room seemed fairly modestly adorned with newer fixings, enough to make it warm and pleasant but tasteful enough not to be distracting.

"Captain Roam, I thought you said we were going to be keeping a 'low profile' on this expedition. I should think that exploding a man's corvette in the middle of an Allied star system hardly consti-"

Roam pulled off the Captain's dress jacket from his shoulder and spun it around by the neck, placing it on a coat rack off to one side, his arm rudely intruding in the way in front of Argyle's face.

"Conspicuousness is not something anyone cares for when their life is in danger." said Roam in a candid yet polite manner.

"We outnumbered them four to one!"

"Leave the expertise of space combat to me and I'll leave the expertise of old space junk to you, Doctor Argyle."

"Professor." corrected Edward in a rather irked tone.

New Objective

Captains are to meet in the Valiant briefing room.

Splendid, everyone! This is going quite well.

"you heard him, Helmsman. Dock with the Valiant."

The Helmsman turned the forward thrusters down and prepared the side oriented ones. then he entered a docking code into the ship's auto pilot program. The Helmsman's screen then switched to an image of the Valiant's docking station- via a camera above the Xielumbus' own docking station. He selected the image of the docking platform, and steered in a very calculated manner towards the vessel. Once Yilne's ship got close enough He pressed a switch that connected a thick robotic arm to a receptacle above the platform that pulled the two ships together, as well as anchoring them.

"Docking procedure complete, Captain Yilne." the Helmsman reported.

"Thank you Kreylip, Very good. MIPAI, shut down the ship and open the docking bay doors. i'll be back momentarily. Keep the weapons on stand-by, i'm not leaving anything to chance."

Yilne walked through the Xielumbus collecting his coat. he eventually made it to the docking door, and he made his way through the Valiant- taking stock of just how nice the ship was, it somehow debunked Yilne's lingering suspicion that Argyle wasn't going to pay him. he eventually reached it's briefing room where he noticed Argyle. He walked over to the table, leaned over, put his hands on it, and he switched to English keeping a calm, respectful, and even tone.

"Professor, first of which is: who were they? Secondly, i could tell you were hiding something when we met in the bar, just what is going on here?" He said slowly and calmly. "this seems like more than just an escort mission." Yilne noticed no one else was present. "But, i suppose that could wait until the others arrive." Yilne offered as he took his seat at the table, crossing his arms, looking around the room, and keeping an eye on the door.

The fact that we're so many makes it easier at the beggining, we hardly had a battle.

-Sir, Captain Roam wants to talk to us. said Kief

Dock both of our ships with the Valiant, our small participation in today's combat isn't gonna mark the best first impression, let's get there fast. Replied Garret.

After docking both Arwings both headed to the briefing room by reading signs on the walls of the ship.

Everything... this way. Awesome.

Eventually they arrived, both saluted the Captain and Professor Argyle and sat down next to Yilne, the amphibian creature.

Those are some very interesting eyes you have there. Said Garret refering to the deep blue in it's iris.

"Those are some very interesting eyes you have there."

Yilne glanced at Garret. He gave a wry smile and said "Thank you, Captain. You know, it's been some time since i last had the pleasure of dispatching an enemy." Yilne then looked at Garret and started imagining the last time he had almost died in battle, then his eyes began to glow white. "But, I do agree...they are pretty cool." He said showing off a bit. then he refocused and his eyes went back to the normal deep blue.

Srake hummed a victory tune. "Nice job mates" he said to his crew. Terren poked his head down from the gunner seat, "I thought you said we probably wouldn't need to engage in combat anytime soon."

Srake laughed slightly and said to Terren, "Mere speculation old friend. Nice reactions I must say."

Terren shook his head. Jade cleared her throat to get the rests attention, "Srake, The Captain of the Valiant has requested your and your allies presence in the briefing room."

Srake turned back to the controls, "Alright then. Lock in the docking bay and we'll be off."

---

The Tenrar pulled into the docking bay of The Valiant. It's off-world urban color scheme contrasting with The Valiant's interior. The Tenrar touched down in a space next to a ship he reconized.

Srake got from his chair and stretched, "Well, I had best get a move on then." he walked over to the door and punched a button. The section of the wall moved back and slid over to the side." Srake dropped from the doorway onto the deck. That very quickly brought attention to himself. Passersby gave him a strange look and he shrunk back. Srake quickly hurried over to a darker area of the room and let his shape change take over. He emerged from the shadow as a average looking human male with short cropped black hair. 'Hopefully that should keep attention off of me.' Srake thought. Srake quickly found a sign that had a massive arrow with a list of locations. "That's weird..."

Srake walked to the door to the Briefing Room. He opened it and walked into the room and took a seat. He notice the strange looks he was receiving and look at himself. "Oh, whoops" Srake released his form and smiled awkwardly. "Its a... race trait."
