Barney's Dirty Joke

this has been gnawing at my mind for quite sometime now,

in episode 2 or 3 i believe, as Freeman is going through an airlock Barney says

 

"It looks like your in the barrel today"

 

For some reason, i always laugh at Freeman's reaction

the only thing is that i don't understand what barney is implying by the phrase..

i didnt want to sound like an idiot but i really want to know what it means.

The sailor, embarrassed to give a straight answer, simply said he'd been getting better rest.

 

"Well good, sailor. You're going to need it," replied the officer. "Today's your turn in the barrel."
