To those interested in art. Post your favourite pictures here.

This is my favourite picture, since I first saw it I fell in love with it, I felt the horror at first the painting/tensions always looked so real to me. The emotion of the guy is clearly visible in the picture in a unique wave way. and the linear colours are brilliantly picked and drawn. Great symmetry, just beautiful. Great Norwegian Painter, Munch.

This is a close second. Bohs had a huge imagination and interesting characters in paintings. There is always a lot of details in his pictures too. This picture is too big though.

Once you zoom in you will see what I'm talking about.

Love the work of Edward Munch.

Here's a lesser known self portrait of his that I really like:

I read a book about the 1993 theft of the scream that was really good. It told stories about lots of art theft, with the main subject being a Scotland Yard "art detective" that helped recover the painting from the trunk of a car.

The church in the middle is the only thing without a reflection.

I am considering looking into Van Gogh more.

This is a nice metric server. No imperial dimensions, please.

Looks like lots of people love Munch here :)

Who knows he might just be the next re-discovery...

Wayne Douglas Barlowe.

He just kept talking and talking in one long incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic so that no one had a chance to interrupt it was really quite hypnotic...

H.R. Giger's artwork is incredibly freaky and awesome.

"I tell you one thing: I've been to a parallel universe, I've seen time running backwards, I've played pool with planets, and I've given birth to twins, but I never thought in my entire life I'd taste an edible Pot Noodle."

I like darker based realistic landscape paintings.

This isn't my favorite picture. But I do like the style.

I also like some of PimpofPixel's work. Here's one of his timelapses on youtube.

My favorite part is how well he contrasts emotions within this particular work. Ie the picture in the back, where the light and shadow falls, etc

that's all for right now.
