This must be pretty hefty work to not anly animate(though I understand that's most horrible for you), voice but also make all those friggin maps. I'm really impressed, especially by the fragment where camera is behind... Mike(it was Mike? ) walking along with Dave and holding the flashlight, like in some TPP game! That's what impressed me most, also the part toward the end with the FPP view of someone's running. It was very realistic.

 

I will barely endure the waiting ;3

Hey I noticed something, when I was trying to download the videos while using Firefox, it didn't work, but it works for IE. If there's any way the site can be compatible with firefox that'd be cool, if not I can use IE for downloads also. I can't give up CP just cuz I don't like IE =P

Yay, Ross, I love you!! That last sentence is what I want to hear. Even if we can accept some quality loss in Freeman's Mind, same thing for Civil Protection would be disaster. I wish machinima.com would come to their senses . I see you have to handle tons of issues at the same time. The way I understand, no more Quake-ish song at the beginning of videos?

 

As for the trailer... I'm not watching, until I see the real thing . Thanks for all hard work, you know your community really appreciates that ;]

First thing that came to mind when I saw the fog, and the "secret tunnel" was Silent Hill 4: The Room. I'm not sure if you took inspiration or not, but it looks good (it'll probably be scarier than the actual SH4 game; 1, 2 and 3 are far superior).

As soon as Dave finds some crackers, he'll just get thirsty. The episode looks great, but it seems machinima always finds something to complain about.

Zedacon: Not really. I move around like a gypsy now on a netbook and record in empty meeting rooms and hope no one comes in.

 

Brianna: Absolutley. This one is only about medium-low in terms of ambitious ideas I have, but I think it's going to be my favorite episode created so far.

 

TL;DR: Comedy may be sacrificed a bit in the sense that it will be less frequent. Since Mike and Dave are also cops, they can't be COMPLETE clowns in a serious situations, but I'm absolutley trying to have a balance between the two. In no way should the humor drag down the suspense element.

Spog: The only thing I'm taking from Silent Hill is maybe the appearance and mood. It's going to be inspired more by HP Lovecraft actually.

 

Randomjack: Yes it's even worse than that though, coder Alex Morton had to fix Valve's bugged code for the env_projectedtexture entity.

Looks like you're doing an excellent job Ross. I hope you're getting really well paid by these Machina-jerks, otherwise I would start making demands if I were you. Seriously, take a look at their page; you are one of a very few high-quality gigs they've got going on. Like I sort of said earlier, what kind of company wants to locate in a state that bans plasma TV screens that are over a certain dimension? Oh, and California is also broke.
